The Ferret...Unplugged

I'm off for the week to Miraval.  I'm totally "checking out"...no blogging all week!

Bon Jovi hair?

After my huge perm fiasco in high school, I have sworn off hairspray. And so my hair is usually flat and lifeless. However, I finally got a new haircut that I actually like. As I am now attempting to style my hair...I need products! "They" say L'Oréal Elnett is the best hairspray in the world. Due to the use of fluorocarbons, Elnett has been banned in the US for years. Until now. They reconfigured the formula somehow and you can now find it exclusively at Target. It is really great - it totally holds my hair without the crunchy feeling I used to get in the 80's. I must warn you though. Hold. Your. Nose. It smells awful - like the hairspray you can remember smelling at your grandmother's house.

50¢ is 2 quarters

I mentioned Colgate's disposable wisp toothbrushes a few weeks ago...they are great, by the way! And Target has a printable coupon - go to their site and save 50¢.

So excited

I'm going to see David Sedaris tonight. I think this will be my 3rd time seeing him and I'm still a little giddy!

Put the lime in the coconut

I am absolutely in love with adara coconut oil.  I mean really really in love with it.  Adara is 100% pure organic virgin coconut oil - straight from the coconut - no preservatives! It is also kind of cool because it crystallizes when it is cool, but is easily warmed up to an oil for easy application.  It is really lightweight; I use it as a moisturizer, but have heard about a lot of people using it on their hair. Try it...it is an amazing product!

Tea Drinkers Rave

Or this one?

Or, what about this Converse - All Star Deluxe Ox It is pretty cute too!

Spring-ish fever

Something happens to me every year around April.  I need new shoes - need - not want.  I can't explain it, but I get an overwhelming urge to start shopping for shoes.  Not just any shoes though...sneakers.  I need sneakers.  And so starts the frantic search for new kicks.  I found this pair of Tretorn shoes last night and I think I kind of like them.  What do you think?

Better than a wipe warmer

I know these baby wipe huggers are absolutely unnecessary, but they are so cute! How cute would this be at a baby shower? For decorations or even as a cute way to "wrap" a very practical gift!

To buy or not to buy?

I am so out of it...I've never even heard of the Nintendo Dsi. Apparently, kids have been anxiously awaiting its arrival. My friend Sheri's sons couldn't wait to get their little hands on one. So, being the good mom that she is, she bought it the day it was released. It looks pretty cool to me - you can snap photos with the built-in camera, edit and send them to friends, play back your music with Nintendo DSi Sound, or browse the Internet with the Nintendo DSi Browser.

Neighbor's revenge

I wish I had some of these notes when I had a noisy upstairs neighbor a few years ago.  After listening to her vacuum the hardwood floors at 4:00 every morning, I'm pretty sure I would have used one of these...

Comfort food

In honor of National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, I think I should order some yummy peanut butter from the super cute Peanut Butter & Co.

No worries - Peanut Butter & Co. was NOT part of the recall. Check out their delicious flavors...chocolate...honey...maple syrup...YUM!
