...but, I really love this mini water cooler. It would look really cute on my desk. Possibly cute enough to make it worth the ridicule from my colleagues...

Falling apart???
My sister is recovering from her adult tonsillectomy and the miserable pain that comes with it. Unfortunately, I am not much help to her either...I have started to use not one, but two heating pads on my back and have recently begun to sing the praises of something my mother gave me that is quite similar to The Original Bed Buddy. What a sad case we are; thank goodness for Florence Nightingale my mother...I think we should begin thinking about what to do for her on Mother's Day!

My poor sister
My sister is having her tonsils removed today...I let her borrow my ice bag, but wish I had found these cute ones first. Not that it would have helped her deal with what sounds like awful pain, but at least she would have looked great while swollen...

Pick up the phone

Earth Day 2008 is expected to be the biggest yet! From Tokyo to Togo, to our flagship event on the National Mall in Washington, DC and 7 other U.S. cities, we will be galvanizing millions of people around the world behind a Call for Climate, our global warming action theme. Hundreds of events are popping up all over the globe and April 22 should be a most memorable Earth Day.
We will be asking people to call their government and urge significant and equitable action on climate change. If you live in the United States, call your Senators and Representatives and tell them they must take stronger and immediate action.
And, speaking of Earth Day, check out all of the great links from Kaboose.

Something green in my house?
I'm back from LA and have come to realize that I really should spend a bit more time to "stop and smell the roses"...I don't exactly have a green thumb, but these rubber containers from Rose and Radish are so cute that it might be time to see about getting a plant or something along those lines...

I'm so zen
In honor of my über relaxed "I'm in California" persona, I must tell you about my new favorite flavor of Vitamin Water...B-Relaxed, a jackfruit and guava combination. I don't exactly know what jackfruit is, but I really like the drink...

Sweet treat
I am in LA right now visiting my friend Kailey...ahhhh vacation! Yesterday, Kailey asked me if I would like to try her favorite candy. Favorite candy??? I don't think I've ever had a favorite candy; I was intrigued and anxious to try a Cadbury Chocolate Eclair. When I first put it in my mouth, I thought it was just a piece of caramel...until I tasted the chocolate treat hidden in the middle. Yummy! In addition to knowing about all things make-up, Kailey knows good candy!

Under the weather
Apparently, I picked up my nephew's stomach bug and was totally wiped out for a few days. But, being sick did rekindle my love for Saltine crackers. It is the only thing I have wanted to eat in days and I have vowed to always keep a box in my house...you never know when you might need them!

Hurry Hurry Hurry
I just learned that the Gryson bags are finally available at Target. If you are not familiar with Gryson handbags...Joy Gryson has worked for Coach and Calvin Klein and was most recently the Director of Design for Marc Jacobs Handbags and Accessories. Of course, the bags she designed for Target are made from PVC and not the usual supple Gryson leather; however, the leather bags retail for $600+ and the bags at Target are all under $50. I think the white patent one with cutout handles is super cute. But, act fast - they are available at select stores and online from April 6th until June 21st.

For NYC kids
For hip city kids (or their hipster parents), a potty training seat that looks like a throne or is covered with Bob the Builder is totally unacceptable. Urban babies will need the black LÄTTSAM Children's potty from IKEA.

If it ever gets warm enough to wear them
I have been looking for a cute pair of casual black shoes to wear around town. I spent an evening playing around on zappos.com and found a few 15 options. I am quite indecisive and sent them to my friend Pauline to help me choose...although, I don't think this was one of her choices. Anyway, I settled on a pair of J-41 shoes in black and lavender. The funny thing is that I thought they looked a bit familiar and realized it is the exact same shoe (in a different color) that I mentioned on my site in September of last year. I guess it is good to know that my taste is consistent...

Trying to find an excuse to get a Trapper Keeper
I wish I still had my old Trapper Keeper from middle school, but sadly I did not save it. However, I am going to buy the "new and improved" version. I'm still not sure what exactly I am going to use it for, but I am soooooo excited about it! How cute am I going to be with my Trapper Keeper, Swatch watch and black jelly bracelets?

I'm a bit of an insomniac
My sleep habits are awful. "They" say you should only use your bed for sleep. Unfortunately, I do all the wrong things...I fall asleep with the tv on, use my laptop and read books in bed. I know - not helpful, but I am stuck in my ways. I do like a good eye mask though and can honestly say the MUJI eye mask is the very best! It blocks out every bit of light in the room - even the light from my tv. It is very comfortable and quite affordable at $6!
